Approach
Most finance problems start small: a receipt nobody filed, a reconciliation pushed to next month, a VAT figure copied from the wrong sheet. Left alone, they turn into penalties and long nights before the audit.
So I close the books every month, keep a document behind every entry, and file VAT and TDS before the deadline rather than on it. Nothing clever, just done every month.
The software has changed since I started in 2016. The rule hasn't: debit equals credit, and every number can be traced back to paper.

Most of my work is the regular kind that keeps a company in good standing with the Inland Revenue Department, the Office of the Company Registrar and its auditors.

I started in 2016 at Trinity Co-ed School, looking after student fee accounts and staff payroll. Then five years as Finance Officer at Leapfrog Technology, writing finance policies and getting the books ready for external audits. Then three years as Account Manager at Asian Pharmaceuticals, with import accounting and customs on top.
Since 2025, joined finance and administration for Draper Startup House and Leapfrog Connect, keeping two companies' books side by side.
